11. INDEMNIFICATION AND INSURANCE

11.1 The University shall take out and maintain a Personal Accident Insurance Policy covering accidental bodily injury resulting in death or disablement to all employees which is suffered in the course of, or as a consequence of his or her employment.

11.2 Subject to the provisions of the Policy the benefits payable shall be:-

Permanent Partial 
     Disablement		A % of the benefit payable for 
			permanent total disablement according
			to nature and severity of injury.

11.3 The University shall take out and maintain Insurance Policies in respect of Employers Liability, Third Party and Professional Indemnity. Subject to the specific provisions of the Policies these will provide cover against claims arising against employees in the course of or as a consequence of his/her employment. Details of the Policies are available for inspection from Finance Services.
